Fuzzy Logic..

What is good? What is bad? What is right and what is wrong? What I think is good, may be bad to someone else and what I think is bad, maybe good for somebody else. There is almost never a clear demarcation of the right and the wrong or the good and the bad. This grey area is, I think, what most people exploit. But then again why am I calling it exploition. I dont know if I have to think about anything as good or bad but I think, end of the day, it should be what I like. I think it must just be the feel good factor for each individual that finally gives us a clear picture of right, wrong, good and bad..

I have always had this kind of thoughts..If my deed though seems be good to me, if it hurts others, I was taking it as bad..I used to think that good is something that doesnot incur any pain or suffering in others..but this logic doesnot seem to work universally..for ex., when you take possession of something that belongs to someone else, though you might feel good about it, is it not bad??

so, to decide between good or bad, we have to approach the problem from many perspectives..

Sorry, about the long comment :)

you have correctly put it good/evil right/wrong is just a matter of prespective....
was robin hood good or bad?
different prespectives, different answers!

i agree with you about the feel-good factor making the decision for us.i always go by that.

reg your comment: we definitely have to be careful; and that, sadly though, sits like a weight and inhibits us.

Yo i do agree... Wat i feel is, if ppl are comfortable with someone or somebody, they say it is gud. if they are not comfortable with them, it is bad.... this may be universally accepatable but can be true in some perspective

Background Behind this blog.... I was actually trying argue with myself and this blog is just a manifestation of it.. not in entiriety though...I thought others would be mulling over things like this so just thought I'd get some input

@Naveen - Thats precicely what I am doing :)

@Kaushik - :).. different perspectives different answers

@Shakuntala - :) Thank you for dropping by

@Shas - u too talking about the feel good factor :)

@Ash - The Society plays a part .. Infact I think it is the other way around.. First people get a perspective then share it with others, then others think about it and accept it as their own. Slowly that becomes the society's benchmark..which is later imposed...which in turn influences our opinion... I am talking in circles aint I ? n e wayz.. Thanx for dropping by :)

Ironically, the marketability or success also plays a vital role in deciding between the good and bad.

Pandavas share a wife, but they are good.
Rama hides and attacks, but he's good
When US attacks it justifies, but when Hitler attacked it ridicules
