Rambling....

People are watching you!!!! Isnt this what makes us so aware of ourselves and our surroundings? The fear of being watched.

Why is it that we humans are interested in what the other person is doing? Why are we always comparing and trying to find out where we are and where the other person is.(okay me got enough explanation for this question) It is really unnerving to know that u r being watched ..atleast for me..

There are people who would do anything to get everybodyz attention. But there are some who'd do anything to stay behind the scenes. Most of the time it is a battle between these two that I fight in my mind.. Sometimes I want to let people know what and how I feel but at other times I try to make myself as inconspicuous as possible. There is a constant battle raging in my mind. What would others say .. Is it okay if I say this or do this?

But end of the day if others are happy with u, u are also happy. This is one assumtion on which most people work.. but I dont believe in it. I believe that we must satisfy our conscience.. When we do this automatically the others will be satisfied..Yes there will always be some who still find fault. But they are not to be considered...

I think all of us go through this but we never talk about it , do we? People have told me.. you must do what the society thinks is right.. Some have also told me that you must do what your heart says.. But most of the time we end up doing what both dont like.. At times I wonder why we do things for the sake of others. But we do it neverthless..

I know I started somewhere and ended somewhere else. But just thought Id put it up.. coz I know there are many of you out there thinking the way I do and my little rambling may give u an idea to write about.....

i feel as if i have written the post!!!
this reminds me of an amazing quote:
"Why are you trying so hard to fit in; when you are made to stand out".

All of us, try to do things which are supposedly 'cool' and end up being someone we are not(esp in coll), then there are social pressures (e.g. get a good job, 9-5, xxxx rs p/m etc, while the true talent may be in some other 'not so' good field and loads of other things.
in my opinion, the truly happy person is the one who does whatever his heart, some may say concience tells him to do and is not bogged down "trying to fit in"....
nice post.....
it has given me an idea for a post...will write it soon

Thats true we end up doing something that the so called freinds is happy around!!.. I do most of the things what I like to do!!..

I wear shoes that have holes.. since I like the shoe so I wear it!.. ( I call the shoe as AIR FREE SHOE :d) and everywhere I go.. people look at the shoe.. for a moment I feel bad.. but the next moment I feel excited that I am creating confusion in other persons mind!!..

I feel the same way..when I call up my mom, I say this, "Mom, I love an american girl and I want to marry her" (just kidding my mom) but she would instantly pounce back at me and would say, "Naveen, think of what the society would say about this..blah blah"..though she is not very much bothered about this, she dreads about the society. There are a lot more things like this that curtails our freedom..hmmm..what to do? man is a social animal :)

Well said. This is exactly how I feel many times.. am I living my life or is someone else?
But I remember having a conversation with my friend on this sometime back.. and she was of the opinion that at least in the early stages of one's career, one should strive to do things that make his/her loved ones happy. She also felt that once this is acheived, there's a lot of time to pursue one's own dreams. Well, I just couldn't argue with this :)

that is an interesting thought. infact it is very much relevant. it is very disturbing t discover people gzing at u for whatever reason. but what i do i such situations is that if i feel uncomfy at such gazes, i simply stare back at the person till he/she turns off his/her gaze. don thin that i am boasting or something. but it works somehow in most cases.

@Neema - welcome to the club :)

@Kaushik - waiting to read your post :)

@Sujit - good to know u do things u want to do.. But sometimes.. well u just gotta live with these things dont u ?

@Naveen - yaaru appa antha ponnu??

@DD- interesting thought there but I dont know how that would work.. wont it be a farce.. wont u be acting.. shud u do that to a loved one??

@Amrita - sure it does work.. But u cant do that to your relatives(distant ones that is )

well, would you go out and do something boldly when you know that it would hurt people around u? maybe if you're really passionate about it, yes.. but that's not always the case, is it? everyone compromises, otherwise there's no point in human relationships.. would you just want to live on an island without a care for anyone?

btw, you are tagged for my latest post.. and the earlier ones, for that matter :)

We have to strike a balance between what we want to do and what we r expected to do.When i say this, i mean in the context of helping people, not hurting people, doing our duty e.t.c.
Definitely we have to obey our conscience and as far as we r right according to god we really needn't bother.
This world, in any case, normally gives negative feedback.
So why should we really bother about partially blind people.

Being true to your conscience .

Expressing things in a way that other dont get offended .

and being some one that ..other like wud be good mixture ...

looks like nothing is perfect in life and there is no one soultion to happiness.
